The Award-Winning Maldives!

The Maldives secured no fewer than 9 travel awards at the 2007 World Travel Awards 14th Annnual Gala Ceremony held in The Turks & Caicos, in December 2007.

The awards are the equivalent of 'The Oscars' to the world of travel
and to be voted ‘World’s Most Romantic Destination’ is quite a feather in the cap.

When you consider the remoteness of the location, the glorious weather, lagoons fringed with white sandy beaches and the high level of service available it is clear why this destination would appeal to couples.

It was (unsurprisingly) also voted the Indian Ocean’s Leading Destination.
